R. Shmuel HaLevi Wosner (1913-2015), learned under R. Meir Shapiro and R. Shimon Engel (Zelichover) in Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin and immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1939. Following a number of years serving on the Rabbinate of the Eidah HaCharedis, he relocated to Bnei Brak at the behest of the Chazon Ish to serve as the founding Rov of Zichron Meir. He also served as Rosh Yeshiva of the reestablished Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin. He was one of the preeminent Poskim of his time and taught generations of talmidim including hundreds of Rabbonim.
