Up for sale, a 2017 Paul Reed Smith McCarty 594 10 Top in near-mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case and all factory paperwork. This instrument is a new take on PRS' McCarty line, gracefully blending elements of a fine vintage instrument with modern building processes and appointments. This PRS boasts a high gloss nitro lacquer Charcoal Burst over a cellulose CAB basecoat, a finish composition previously only available on Private Stock instruments, resulting in a finish that's thin, durable, and feels great.

Tonewoods include the traditional pairing of a highly figured, carved maple "10 Top" with a mahogany body and mahogany neck, capped with a rosewood fingerboard. Resonant, lively and nuanced acoustically, these qualities are translated faithfully via the humbucker pair. The 58/18 LT humbuckers are only available from PRS loaded in one of their instruments (not sold separately), and these highly prized low-wind PAF-style pickups are extremely articulate, sweet, and expressive. Both pickups have dedicated push/pull coil taps on the Tone controls as well for sparkling, snappy single coil tonalities. This PRS weighs 7lbs 13oz, strung with 10-46 strings and dialed in for low action and spot-on intonation.

The mahogany neck has PRS' Pattern Vintage profile carve, an asymmetrical shape that maximizes performance and comfort, offering plenty of substance and measuring .900" deep at the 1st fret and .965" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard has a 10" radius with flawless fretwire and "birds in flight" inlay, playing effortlessly up the 24.594" scale length. The carved bone nut measures 1 11/16", and the headstock has a rosewood veneer with open-gear (non-locking) tuning machines that turn smoothly and have excellent stability.

The electronics function flawlessly, and hardware shows just a hint of surface patina, and plastics are like-new. The high gloss lacquer finish on the body highlights the tight, consistent flame figuring that extends evenly across the top, framed by maple binding. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few faint finish scratches clustered just above the rear control cavity cover, while the gloss on the neck profile is flawless.

The original hardshell case is included, along with all factory paperwork.
