For your consideration is this early 1900's The Lawrenceville School Silver with Gold Gilt Medal. It was made by famous maker Bailey, Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia of Sterling Silver with a very heavy gold wash. It was made sometime between 1908 and 1918 based on the split wrap brooch with open "c- catch". I'm not sure if this was a centennial medal (The Lawrenceville School celebrated this in 1910), or if this is an academic or staff award of some kind. I can't finad another example of this medal online to use as a reference. The ribbon is in great shape for a piece 110 years old, as is the enamel in the center of the medal.
