Other Information: This was Ms. Roberts' first show after starring in Oklahoma! Also in the cast was Ethel Levey (first wife of George M. Cohan and star of several of his productions in her youth.) This was Ethel's final Broadway venture. She had left the stage in 1908, returned in 1922 for one show, a huge flop, and then again in 1942 for another flop. Interestingly, that show was "Sunny River" in which Joan Roberts made her Broadway Debut before going on to Oklahoma! Although Marinka in no way came close to that kind of success, it did have a respectable run of 165 performances.
