Solid 14kt Gold 12 Size Gents E. Howard Series 8 open face pocket watch. This is a fine quality movement 23 jewel, "5 adjustments & Temperature, Special Adjustment". This watch features two Ruby jeweled banking pins, unusual. Howard utilized this on some of there high end watches when they went from 21 to 23 jewels. Sometimes they would jewel the mainspring barrel and sometimes they would use 2 Ruby banking pins to achieve 23 jewels. I believe Howard was the only US company to do this, you see this on very high end European watches. Beautiful porcelain dial and hands, 14 kt Solid Gold Keystone case, signed E. Howard on dust cover. Running strong, keeping excellent time. From collector's estate.
