Portage county is in eastern Ohio and is surrounded by Geauga County, Trumbull County, Mahoning County, Stark County, Summit County and Cuyahoga County. The county seat is Ravenna and other towns are Brady Lake, Garrettsville, Hiram, Kent, Mantua, Mogadore, Sugar Bush and Windham.
