Bill Lawrence Super Strat Dark Green Relic Circa. 80s Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Bill Lawrence Super Strat in Dark Green Relic finish. Built in Japan sometime in the 80s this instrument features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured includes a Ibanez TRS-101 Tremolo bridge, locking nut and Bill Lawrence Vintage Style tuning machines. The pickups consist of a Dimarzio Tonezone humbucker and a Vintage style Single-coil, these are wired to a 3-way selector, independent volume and tone controls and a coil split switch.

The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with a Gloss Soft ‘V’ profile that feels fluid in the hand and lends itself well to more technical styles of playing, feeling razor sharp and articulate in all registers. Paired with the 12" Rosewood fingerboard and Jumbo frets, making fretting a fast and easy affair whilst providing a nice balance between comfortable chording and practicality for lead lines. The familiar Strat Body design feels great in the arms ensuring comfort in both standing and seated positions, as well as ample fret access in the upper register.

The Dimarzio Tonezone humbucker offers a versatile range of tones, with anything from bell-like, shimmery clean tones available, as well as harmonically saturated distortion sounds, whilst the coil split switch offers a sparkly with a hint of a darker tone whilst retaining clarity with each note. The neck pickup offers warmth and clarity, and saturates beautifully when you drive the amp. The control layout provides the player with plenty of options to sculpt their tone and acquire a large array of tonal possibilities.
