Vintage Ikea Postmodern Black Counter-Balanced Halogen Desk Lamp

An eye-catching Ikea B8810 desk lamp in black, this postmodern piece mires functionality with futurism in a unique 80s style. It's arm design is crane-like with a lever-shaped accent that permits one to control the shade's height. The strength of the light comes in two steps, one stronger, one dimmer.

Origin: produced by Ikea during the 1980s. Labels still attached.

Condition: in fair vintage shape. Some small marks and surface scratches along the base and levers. The shade appears to have received a thick black coat of paint from its previous owner, resulting in an uneven, textured surface which has a bit more shine compared to the base which has a satin finish. The lamp can be adjusted freely and smoothly. The electrical wiring is in very good working condition, having been tested in our workshop.

Please note: since the lamp is of European origin, all non-European potential buyers should be aware of the voltage, in this case 230V, 50Hz, 12V. The lamp also has a standard European plug and uses GY6.35 bulbs, maximum 20W allowed. Pictured lightbulb is included.
