Unfinished Vintage Oak Distressed Wood Flooring 190 x 6/20 x 1900mm - £56.99/m2 Including VAT

The Vintage look fits in very well for aged properties such as cottages, pubs and any area you want to create a old original look. The 190-width combined with fixed lengths leads to the floor flowing rather than being broken up with smaller random pieces.

Wf4u ensures the boards used are medium brushed removing any soft core leaving you with the exposed grains and texture a old wood floor needs. This also adds character and allows you be able to add your personal flair to your finish as the grain acts as a way of adding detail or colour to create different tones to the end result.

Oak wood flooring withstands the tests of time as seen in so many old castles and palaces as it is still there.

To finish a raw oak you can use many different applications from stains to invisible seals all of which will help in crafting a bespoke tailored wood floor, for more information or advice contact us as we are always happy to help

The tongue and groove fit snugly together, thus joining or aligning the planks, and are not visible once joined. Vintage oak 190 Tongue-and-groove flooring can be installed by glue-down (both engineered and solid), floating (engineered only), or nail-down (both solid and engineered).

Floor finishes

Brushed and oiled – Steel brushes are used in the direction of the grain which opens up the surface of the wood and removes splinters. The wood is then oiled.

Oil – Oiled floors have existed for several thousand years and is the most common floor finish used globally. Oils used for floor finishing are natural drying oils of vegetable origin that are not to be confused with petroleum based oils and contain no VOCs. Pre-finished oil floors can be UV cured.

Lacquered – Lacquered floors tend to be more durable and resilient to scratching, the lacquer provides a flat and smooth finish to the wood flooring.

In line with industry standards, packs may contain one split starter plank to assist with the floor layout stagger.
