Since 1978 - 1979, all " Made in France " perfumes have the word " EMB " ( followed by a five-digit code ) on the box. This " EMB " code will remain at least until the barcode ( 1989 – 1999 ) and even beyond.
If your French perfume is without EMB code, it's been made before 1978 – 1979.
If the item has the EMB code, without the barcode, it's from the Eighties.
And if you can see the barcode ( with or without EMB ), it's after 1989 - 1990.
