This antique Royal Doulton series ware squat mini vase is in good condition
for its age. There are no chips or cracks and pattern and trim are intact. It
does have age induced crazing which is visible in the pics and difficult to
avoid in pottery of this age. It features the Charles Dickens character 

Bill Sykes.The pattern number D5175 dates this little vase to 1947. 

If you look carefully to the left of the title pic, you'll see the

 that it is signed by the designer Charles Noke.
