Wonderful vintage 1st American Edition copy of 1984 by George Orwell. Published in 1949 by Harcourt, Brace and Company of New York. The hardcover book is in very good condition for its age, with some minor wear to the cover and edges. The dust jacket is in acceptable condition for its age, with wear to the cover, edges, and spine. There is some damage/cracking along the spine to the dust jacket and some damage to the top and bottom of the spine (see photos).
