The Ten Keys to Successful Change Management John Pendlebury, Beno
The need to change in response to external influences is indispensable if an organisation wants to be successful. In recent years, much has been written about reengineering, downsizing, TQM and the like. Now there is an increasing focus on the involvement of people in these processes and systems as a key to gaining success and a competitive edge. Further, organisations focusing in this way are beginning to report high pay-offs from such activities. Much of the current literature defines the objectives an organisation should have when contemplating change, but often they do not tell those involved how to meet them. This book takes a highly practical stance for achieving successful change by describing and illustrating through case studies the ten keys to arrive at your goal, by paying particular reference to the ways people must be managed to arrive at rapid, self-sustaining change.
John Pendlebury is Director for the Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution sectors for EDS in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and previously a Vice President of A.T. Benoit Grouard is Founder and Chairman of Metapoles, a consultancy firm specializing in the use of new technologies for achieving major transformations and in the implementation of multimedia management systems. He regularly addresses senior executives on new approaches for extensive and high-speed change. Francis Meston is a Vice President of the international management consultancy A.T. Kearney. He works on major change programmes throughout Europe and in the US for clients in engineering, telecommunications and retail sectors. He is a frequent speaker on the subject of transformation strategy for executive audiences and has featured in many business publications. Through their work they have collaborated with large international organisations in strategy setting, operational implementation, the use of enabling techniques, and integrated programmes of change.
