From the finial come the 5 curved arms which lead to round shade holders and the shades are in white opaque patterned glass with amber tinge around the edges. The light has its original French twin core wiring and takes 5 small screw in bulbs E14s.US and Canadian buyers are able to find adapters to use this chandelier with their E12 bulbs (without the need to change the bulb holders). Please search on line 'E14 to E12' adapter.
The metal work is in good vintage condition with time related marks and pitting. The glass shades are complete and free from chips or cracks, they do have some light marks within the glass which is common with this type of glasswork.
