Papanicolaou, M.D. Ph.D.....who the pap smear, which he pioneered, is named after. And not only that, but this was his personal copy from his lab at Cornell Medical College in New York. Marked on the cover in marker, "Dr. Papanicolaou's Laboratory Room A-108." and also marked in hand-writing and with an ink stamp inside the cover.
