A fine quality mid 19th century Victorian period wine glass in Bristol green coloured glass. It has a funnel shaped bowl with deep flute cut panels. The flute cutting extends down the stem which is both hollow blown and waisted. The foot is slightly conical and the pontil scar has been ground and polished out. This design is known to have been produced by the Richardsons glass factory in Stourbridge, and it likely comes from that maker or region. It is ok to use today and has a decent capacity although a little smaller than we generally enjoy today.
Provenance: Part of a single owner collection of high quality Georgian and Victorian green glass from the Cheshire area.
Condition
Very good order, slight wear and slight mineral/air bubble inclusions as expected for period. Fine quality glasses.
