An unusual late Victorian or Edwardian ring. It is in the form of a hand with the thumb and forefinger holding an ellipse shape item set with a tiny diamond. There is a further tiny diamond in the cuff around the hand. Inside the band it is marked 333 for 8 carat gold, a long defunct standard used until the early 20th century in the UK. The ring is quite petite and would certainly make an interesting edition to an antique collection.
