Susan Stormalong #V767 is a 12" jointed vinyl reproduction Dewees Cochran "Grow Up" doll that was manufactured by the Effanbee Company circa 1999.  Susan Stormalong or "Stormie" represents the 5-year-old or youngest child in the series of five children dolls depicting various stages of growing up, and is the imaginary great-great niece of Captain Bullhead Stormalong.  As a five-year-old, Stormie is engaging with her cheerful bright blue painted eyes, her rosy blush, and her gently smiling painted mouth with teeth.  Her auburn brown hair has been styled in ramshorn braids.  Susan Stormalong wears a blue cotton dress trimmed in navy blue rickrack, a white cotton pinafore embellished at its bodice with a lacy insert, a one piece white undergarment, and sandals.  Though not pictured, she does wear her wrist tag.  Missing are her COA, accessories, and box.  Previously owned by an adult collector, she remains in nice condition, with some wear and soiling from age and storage.  More notably spotted is her right arm's puffed sleeve and, to a lesser degree, the hemline area of her dress.  As is common with Effanbee replica dolls, her stringing is a loose, more notably her head and arms, and need tightening.  With patience, she may pose well on a stand, though.  The Dewees Cochran Foundation, Inc. granted Effanbee the honor of reproducing "Stormie" and the other dolls in the "Grow Up" series.

PLEASE study the photos carefully and email with all questions! My photos detail her condition accurately. Though I have tried to provide an honest and detailed description, I may have omitted information that is important to you. I have also provided photos that "speak volumes."
