B.C. Rich Body Art Series ASM ‘The Deceiver’ 2003 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a B.C.Rich Body Art Series ASM electric guitar in ‘The Deceiver’ finish. Made in China in 2003, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard with diamond inlays. This guitar is fitted with Black hardware including a string-through bridge and B.C.Rich sealed tuning machines. The pickups installed are a B.C.Rich BDSM humbucker and a B.C.Rich Dual Rail single-coil which are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume and master tone controls. 

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with a thin profile offering a razor sharp and ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck, perfect for fast lead lines and solos. This is enhanced by the Rosewood fingerboard, which with its 16" radius delivers a tailored playing experience in any position. Chord playing is comfortable in the lower register, whilst the higher register is well suited to lead playing and string bending. The Jumbo frets provide a rock solid playing surface, whilst also improving vibrato and string bending feel. 

The B.C.Rich ‘BDSM’ humbucker installed in this guitar produces a thick and full-bodied tone, perfect for more distortion-heavy styles of music with a high output that saturates into a searing distortion when cranking the grain. The B.C.Rich Dual Rail single-coil in the neck position features a slightly increased output power and provides a smooth, warm, rounded tone that handles distorted tones as well as it handles clean tones. The simple control layout offers comprehensive control of your tone without being intrusive, meaning you can focus on your playing.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, light indentation is apparent to the bass side front edge. Light scratching is apparent to the front face, visible only at certain angles under direct lighting. The top point of the headstock displays moderate indentation and flattening of the edge. 

Neck: Overall very good condition, light scratching and indentation is apparent to the rear of the neck, most notably in the early register. This does not affect the overall playability of the instrument and cannot be felt under the thumb. Any markings to the fingerboard are difficult to discern against the grain.;

Body: Overall very good condition. Light yet consistent scratching is apparent to all aspects of the body. This is most notable to the rear face, consistent with buckle rash. This is only visible under direct lighting at certain angles.

Condition of Frets: 

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future work the new owner may wish to perform. 

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod adjustment tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
