Incomplete copy, 44 pages of figures from a complete book with 54 pages (and preface 4 pages). With original cover and remaining title slip. A few pages have minor ink stains. No insect damage. Although the re-title and re-printing edition was issued from Unso-do around the 1900, early printing is extremely valuable.
A pictorial biography of the characters of Water Margin, spelled in Kyoka (a popular, parodic subgenre of the tanka form of Japanese poetry with a metre of 5-7-5-7-7).
Water Margin is a 14th century Chinese novel considered one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature.
