CONDITION: Refer to the pictures as well as the notes below.
- This set would normally have graded in the GOOD+ range, but I have downgraded it to ACCEPTABLE because it has previous heavy smoke exposure, I believe from vanilla cigar or pipe rather than cigarette. Because I obtained it still mostly shrink-wrapped, however, I was able to treat it with ozone over several weeks, and now the box just smells a bit like old paper, and only if you put your nose inside it and give it a good sniff.
- You can see signs of the previous smoke exposure in the pictures. It's easy to see this on the bottom spine, where you can see yellowing in the white parts, such as the UPC. The interior of the box is completely browned. The main part of the box shows better coloration, however, because the shrinkwrap protected the cardboard from the worst effects of the smoke. I removed the wrap since it was unrecoverable.
- The box otherwise shows some bends / concavity as a result of its no-inner-box design (it's like the old Konami boxes, if you're familiar with those), and has some typical edge / corner wear. I would grade it in the GOOD+ range if it were not for the discoloration.
- The discs are 100% clean and in excellent condition; I've run them through the sponge level of my resurfacer to remove any trace of smoke. They originally came in paper sleeves, which I have replaced with fresh Tyvek sleeves. The manual is from another set and has not been exposed to smoke.
- NOT SHOWN, BUT INCLUDED: The reference card, which has also been ozone treated.
COMPATIBILITY: This game can be played through the free SCUMMVM utility. I will be investigating this shortly. Please let me know if you'd like to play, and I will include an install guide for play through SCUMMVM.
HOW I SHIP: Game boxes are fragile, and I treat them as such. The game will be secured in a light layer of bubble wrap, then shipped in a strong box with four sides of packing peanut fill.
