Minton Christopher Dresser Designed Cloisonne Style Aesthetic movement Triangle Plate With Butterfly, Raised Enamels, Turquoise Ground  

Factory: Unmarked, but has an impressed minton year cyphers of 1857. The Minton factory was born in England in 1793 and is one of the most important English factories. Many of the products made by this manufacturer were not signed, as was the case with this one, but considering the style followed, the colors use and the shape,  also it has an impressed minton year cyphers, we certainly attributed this plate to Minton.

Size: The withest is 20.2cm

Condition: In excellent condition. No chips cracks or restoration. Very slight scratches/wears to the turquoise-ground near the blue flower.

A rare Minton Christopher Dresser designed, Aesthetic movement triangle-shape plate, decorated in the Chinese Cloisonne style with gilt and raised colored enamels butterfly and stylised motifs and flowers on a turquoise-ground. we have placed two that is really similar to ours, same decoration with character and butterfly like ours, just with a different shape.

A Minton Moon Flask of the same pattern with restored foot, crazing and wear, 15cm high, on Christie's at 19 Oct 2004, sold for £1315 (the 13th photo).

A Minton Vase of the same pattern with flaw, impressed marks, 6" dia x 3.75" h, on Treadway Toomey Auctions at 10 Sep 2016, sold for US$2500 (the 14th photo).
