Persian Ceramic Bowl

A provincial Middle Eastern pottery bowl.  It has bold colours with a design of perhaps an Ibex with blue and red swirled forms.  There is Arabic script around the inner rim.  It was fired in an uncontrolled kiln and there is smoke contamination on the glaze and some burning of the glaze in places.  It appears to be made from a frit type clay.  It is early mid 20th century in period.

Condition

Faults from firing with obvious removed adhesions, burning of the glaze in spots and smoke contamination.  No obvious later damage and rather charming in a provincial manner.
