Up for sale, a 1967 Gibson EB-2 semi-hollowbody bass in perfect working order. Finished in gloss Sunburst nitro lacquer with prominent finish checking extending across the entire body, this EB-2 has the body shape and maple construction of Gibson's ES guitars, with a powerful, thick-sounding "Mudbucker" mounted in the neck position.  Strung with 45-105 roundwound strings on the 30 1/2" scale, this bass delivers pillowy low end woof and deep thump. The roundwounds ensure a bit more growl and treble cut, and the flip-up string mute is still functional for a more dampened, thuddy quality. This bass weighs 8lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with comfortable action and accurate intonation.

The Sunburst nitro lacquer gloss finish exhibits prominent “shattered glass” lacquer checking, and cosmetic wear includes several minor nicks and finish scratches on the body as a whole, largely concentrated along the lower bout rim and on the back. The gloss on the neck profile has some shallow marks along the profile length that don't distract the palm while fretting.

A padded gigbag is included.
