Wonderful oil on card board sea and beach painting in a carved gilt wood frame measuring 25" x 20"x 2 1/4" wide, depicts a dramatic scene on a beach with a row boat and fort or teepee with flags and a bonfire. Signed in Cyrillic on the reverse and dated "1917", the painting probably relates to the first World War, or the Russian war with Turkey at that time.
Fine atmospheric painting with strong impasto is set into a later gilt wood carved frame, and aside from some slight warping to the card board, is in good, as found estate condition, with no damages or losses that we could find.

A beautiful and historic addition to an art collection, the painting is offered with out reserve.
