PAIR of BRAND NEW Triumph TR6, TR250, TR5, TR4A IRS Rear Handbrake Extension Levers:

Anyone who has ever owned or driven a Triumph TR4A (IRS), TR250, TR5, or (most) TR6 knows that the leverage and holding capability of the original handbrake mechanism is terrible: the lever is awkwardly placed on the transmission tunnel, and it is VERY hard to gain enough leverage on the handbrake to apply the brake enough to hold the car on even a slight incline. Been there, done that myself many times. About 20 years ago I had a Java Green '76 TR6 with these extensions and they worked very well.

Late in the TR6 model run (after USA TR6 #CF50,000 in August 1975), Triumph FINALLY addressed the horrible-handbrake issue by installing these extension levers at the rear wheel cylinder operating lever mechanisms.

These hand brake extensions fit all TR6 cars, as well as TR250, TR5, and TR4A-IRS, but probably not TR4A "solid axle" cars.

Please see photos for details: These hard-to-find levers were (expensively!) made in the United Kingdom. I purchased them over 10 years ago for my (now gone) TR4A, and the cost listed here on ebay is below my original cost.

The photos with this listing show how well-machined the levers are, and there are also 2 photos from an old Roadster Factory (TRF) catalog to show you the parts diagram and the part numbers as listed by Triumph. The left-hand extension is Triumph/British Leyland (BL) part # UKC7195, and the right-hand extension is # UKC7194. The parts diagram shows you how to mount them on your car.

These extension levers are in brand-new unused condition, have been in warm and dry storage since purchase. Still in the plastic bag they came in, and I've only had them out two or three times. Mounting bolts are included, as shown in the photos.

This listing is for the pair of left- and right-side levers. Free shipping, too!
