Fred Frith & Henry Kaiser - Original SST Records LONGBOX ONLY - NO CD for the "With Enemies Like These, Who Needs Friends" album released in 1987

Comments: I have owned this since I bought it directly from SST Records mail-order when it was brand new. Don't forget - the CD is not included in this sale!

Longbox Condition: The Longbox is in Very Good condition. The artwork still displays nicely. General wear is light. There is a little edge and corner wear. There are a few short surface crease lines. There is a dent at the lower left corner. There is some silverfish chew damage to the top flap. Please look at the photos to complete your understanding in case I miss mentioning something. There are 4 sets of pinholes near corners from spending time on a wall (see my generic explanation below). This longbox was opened carefully and the flaps are intact. (This longbox has tucked-in flaps instead of glued, and that made opening without damage easy.) This longbox has never been flattened and retains its original 3-D form.

Pin Holes Comment: Compared to some of the crushed, crumpled, torn, banged up, flapless, flattened longboxes I've seen for sale, I think a few pinholes is next to nothing as far as imperfections go. I only take pains to point them out to help avoid surprises.

Generic Explanation Of My Longbox History and Pinholes:

Here's the deal. When CDs were a new thing looking to be big enough to be seen amongst the LPs and longboxes were in fashion, I always carefully removed the CDs and put the longboxes in a safe place. They were part of the album's packaging for crying out loud! I couldn't throw them in the trash anymore than I could throw an LP cover in the trash. Not wanting to flatten the things out, they remained in their 3-dimensional state in box after box that I lugged around through many changes in houses over nearly 25 years.
In 2010 I decided that I had had enough of moving. I also had a large space that needed decorated with a music theme. The longboxes came out of storage and I carefully hung them on my soft walls with long ball-tipped straight pins. Now I'm ready to allow some of the longboxes to find new homes. There will be small pinholes.
Don't worry about shipping. I won't flatten them out for convenience. They will be shipped in a box large enough to allow retention of 3-D form with some cushioning to ensure safe travels.

If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required.

For "Buy It Now" items (most of what I offer), simply add each item that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of requesting a total from the shopping cart, I will promptly send back whatever money I can for a shipping discount.

Some items are not compatible for combined shipping.
Combining shipping might require changing the shipping method or increase packaging materials expense.
A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping.
Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front. You have to tell me exactly what you intend to buy and where it will be shipped. I can't always give an exact cost, but I can at least give you an estimate.
