Antique 19th Century Pharmacy Bucket Weights – Apothecary Collection
Old bucket weight pile, also called Charlemagne or Nuremberg pile
These pile weights were used by apothecaries (pharmacists), chemists in the eighteenth (and before) and nineteenth centuries.
The weight stack was at the time used as a scientific instrument to measure the weight of powders or other materials and to burn them.
It consists of its box with hinged handle and clasp and its 7 weights.
Competently cleaned, it is ready to integrate a beautiful showcase of collection or an authentic retro decoration.
This object comes in the form of stackable buckets in bronze, copper or brass, designed so that they stack, either during their use, or stored, each weight taking place, entirely or in part, in a higher mass weight, like Russian dolls.
The container, also conical, closes with a flap and a handle generally.
