Antique Butcher Hunting Skinning Knife with Carbon Steel Curved Blade & Wood Handle Made by Landers Frary & Clark ( LF&C )

Landers Frary & Clark ( LF&C ) was a housewares company founded in 1865 in New Britain, Connecticut.  

This knife has the blade hand forged from the fine carbon steel designed to take a finer edge and hold it longer providing sharp cutting satisfaction.  The handle is secured with a single pin and a single ferrule to good fitting for durability, strength, & balance.

This item has the design invented by Albert E. Johnson with the patent number 342,697 issued on May 25th 1886

Maintenance Suggestion:  Hand wash only in warm water after using, especially if used on foods that have acidic sauce/liquid.  After washing it, wipe the blade and handle completely dry.  Use of electric knife sharpener or dishwasher not recommended.
