For your consideration is one (1) exceptionally rare ALEXANDER GIRARD-upholstered Herman Miller drafting chair on casters designed by RAY WILKES.

Gorgeous single-arm tube design.

Age-appropriate wear, notably surface pilling on the original vintage Girard fabric, and a dent on the backrest, as depicted.

Structurally sound overall and a true statement piece.

This chair is a veritable work of art and looks absolutely stunning in person.

Manufactured by Herman Miller in the 1970s.

Herman Miller is the home of the most acclaimed mid century modern designers in history including Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Alexander Girard, Iriving Harper, and Ray Wilkes, who designed this sculptural chair (see last photo of Wilkes himself atop this iconic chair at a Herman Miller expo in the '70s).  While Wilkes is best known for his iconic chiclet sofa, this stunning rollback chair deserves its rightful place in the canon of Herman Miller classics.

This chair is in the permanent collection of major museums worldwide, including the Cooper Hewitt in New York.

Height:  37"

Depth:  24"

Width:  22"
