Antique Royal Doulton D1886 Charles Noke Dutch Harlem Square Lidded Trinket Box 1902

This small antique Royal Doulton series ware lidded box is in good condition.

There are no chips or cracks and both pattern and trim are intact. There is

faint age induced crazing as you'd expect but difficult to see without light and

magnification. It is from the Dutch Harlem series by designer Charles Noke

whose name may be partially seen on one corner (see pic). Only the first

 two letters remain visible. The Dutch Harlem series was in production

1900-1940. The backstamp on this piece was used by Doulton from

1900-1922. The pattern number D1886 dates the box to 1902. A lovely rare

Doulton collectable or useful as a jam, marmalade or sugar container, or

a trinket box.
