If your curious about this piece, just know that so am I. I purchased this at an estate sale

from a wealthy lady in Westport, CT. I've had this appraised by 2 Art Appraisers, and they both said conflicting things. One said it looks 19th century due to its patina, the other one said 20th century. However they both agreed that the artwork is superior to the others that commonly pop up. I included an image of another one with inferior artwork for you to compare (see photos) Compared to others, this piece has richer blues, more stylized characterization, and superior detail and proportions.

I'm willing to bet there is a signature on the back, but I can't be sure as I don't want to disassemble the frame.

So I guess I'm listing this as a mystery piece, and cannot claim for sure it's date, or origin. Risk of authenticity is on the buyer.

What I can say is that it's in very fine condition. A few light scratches only noticable in light, but No cracks or chips. Happy to provide more photos.
