DENON DP-57M:
A quality-made Japanese "Golden Era" direct drive turntable!

Item Description
The Denon DP-57M is a direct-drive turntable that was released in Japan in 1982, during the "Golden Era" of Japanese audiophile equipment. Although mostly limited to Japan, Denon turntables from this era have a phenomenal reputation worldwide for their high-quality playback performance, especially the stable rotation speed, high SNR, low motor noise, and low wow and flutter. The DP-57M features an AC servo motor, which provides smooth rotation without vibrational interference. The DP-57M was produced as an improvement to the DP-60, taking some ideas from the excellent DP-100M, such as a purely electronic arm-damping mechanism. Japanese critics have remarked on the stability and robustness of the DP-57M. The “M” signifies that this turntable has a manual operation.
