Hello,

Up for sale is a New York Epiphone built in 1947, serial number 56430, in sunburst. The guitar is in very good to excellent cosmetic condition, and all the hardware is original - tailpiece, pickguard, tuners and bridge. The guitar has had a pro refret and possibly a neck reset but if so the reset was done to a very high standard and is non visible apart from a mark on the fretboard binding at the neck join. A crack by the f-hole has been filled and sealed - again this was done to a very high standard and does not affect tone or playability. An input jack was installed and a Kent Armstrong Archtop pickup was fitted to the pickguard. This will be included in the sale should you wish to convert it back and will not require any drilling.

The sound and playability are everything that a 1940s professional grade archtop should be and the Broadway model was made to almost the same standards as the Deluxe model which itself was in direct competition to the Gibson L-5. When I bought the guitar I had some work done to get the playability as good as possible. A luthier installed a new bone nut, did a fret dress and also sanded the bridge top radius to get the slots in correct position. The action is very low and could easily take higher action or heavier gauge strings, the truss rod is also fully functional.

Comes with a non-original TKL jumbo archtop case.
