Imax FR Match Plus 13ft 8in Fixed Spool Beachcaster.

A Imax Match Plus fixed spool beachcaster in used but very good condition. 2 piece blank with a adjustable reel seat & 7 Pacbay Minima TV black/chrome rings.

Rated to 4-7oz casting weight but works best with 5-6oz plus bait.

Slim, light blank with full Japanese shrinkwrap handle. A fast actioned rod that helps gain more distance. Weight is around 860g but changing the reel seat to a more slimline version such as a Fuji type would probably reduce the weight some more. But I never really noticed any issue when fishing.

Tip is stiffer than the normal match type surf rods, so not a rod for specifically targeting flatties or bream, but the stiffer tip helps with recovery when casting. That said I found rattles & little pulls from smaller fish such as whiting & dogfish can still be detected though. The tip sits nicely in strong tides like the Bristol Channel, and isnt affected by winds.

Feels and behaves like some more expensive rods. I really like the rod but selling as switching to multiplier reels.

No chips to paintwork or carbon blank. Maybe very light scratch from general use.

Rod rings are all good. Never used braid, only mono, so insides of rings are also all fine. Have taken close up pictures for you to examine.

Has been used on the Bristol Channel and Chesil Beach with no problems. Works with overhead, off the ground or pendulum casting, but due to my casting ability, I have only used it via overhead and off the ground, both of which it does very well.
