Wise, humorous and poignant, Margie's heartwarming stories capture her life from her Chinese American childhood, to becoming a teacher, to finding love and facing cancer with courage and grace.
Margie Wong Moradian, a first-generation Chinese-American, was born in San Francisco's Chinatown. When she was eleven years old, her family moved to Fresno, California and she had fond memories of working at the family-run Wong's Cafe. Margie was a passionate elementary school teacher and a story-telling writer. Upon retirement from her career as a classroom teacher in the public schools, Margie lived with her dog, Abby, and made time to pursue her writing. This is her first book, which she was able to complete in the final weeks of her life.
