PRS 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24 Vintage Yellow 2010 Modified Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a PRS 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24 in Vintage Yellow finish. Made in Korea in 2010 for the 25th Anniversary of Paul Reed Smith Guitars founding, this was the first SE guitar to include a quilted top and bird inlays, and even has a Quilted Maple headstock veneer. This guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Quilted Maple top, Mahogany neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including a 6-point tremolo bridge and PRS sealed tuning machines. This guitar has been modified to include a pair of PRS Santana SE humbucking pickups, which are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume and master tone controls. 

The Mahogany neck plays well, with the 'Wide Fat' profile feeling substantial in the hand without being cumbersome. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the dual cutaway body design with customary sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with it's 10" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface in all registers. The 6-point tremolo bridge is very practical, allowing for both dive and lift whilst providing excellent tuning stability. 

The pair of PRS Santana SE humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and smooth tones, well suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles. There is plenty of warmth and roundness in the neck position, perfect for solo tones or shimmering clean sounds. The bridge position is brighter and slightly hotter, meaning that you can easily cut through the mix with biting rhythm tones, or achieve a twangy clean sounds for country and blue licks. The simple control layout offers comprehensive control of your sound without being intrusive to the playing experience, with the volume and tone controls responding very well to small changes.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. A very small chip is present to the bass side tip, lightly exposing the wood. A further chip is present to the treble side front edge, close to the nut. Light scratching to all surfaces is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes. 

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light scratching and denting to the fingerboard is apparent between frets 11-14, not affecting playability. The rear of the neck shows light scratching when viewed under direct light, with a very light dent felt behind the 2nd fret on the treble side. 

Body: Overall very good condition. A mild dent has pierced the finish to the treble side edge of the lower bout, close to the input. Light scratching to all surfaces is visible under direct light from certain angles, as is common with high gloss finishes. This is most notable across the rear face, consistent with buckle rash. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. 

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod Condition: Fully functional & can be adjusted. Truss rod tool included. 

Hardware Condition: Fully functional with light signs of wear. Tremolo arm included. 

Structural Condition: No concerns or issues to note. 

Height of the string from the 12th Fret- Treble 1.5mm - Bass 2mm
