This daguerreotype features a pretty young lady identified as Justina Levan Homan (1836-63) wife of John H. Gernand. Justina and John are both buried in Danville, Illinois. 

The 1/6 plate is not sealed but there are remnants of the original seals and the case measures about 3.25 x 3.75 inches. Most of the dust specks are on the glass and not the plate itself.
