Beetroot Boltardy
The most popular variety for early and maincrop sowings.
It produces round roots with good internal colouring. one of the main plus points of this variety is its good resistance to bolting. /
Boltardy can be used for the bulk of your beetroot cropping before switching to a late variety to finish the season.
Sow little and often and you will be picking the roots over several months from June onwards.
GROWING TIPS
Beetroot Boltardy is an easy crop to grow from seeds and ideal for beginners and experienced growers a like. The roots are best picked when young and cooked fresh. Pickling is another option. If roots are stored in winter you can have beetroot almost all year round.
