The transport capacities to Australia are currently significantly reduced, so that the dispatch of letters and parcels can only be maintained with special measures. That is why we have set up a solution for some products that combines air freight transport to the Middle East or South Asia with subsequent forwarding by sea freight and which enables us to lift existing discharge barriers. We expressly point out that with this combined air / sea discharge, very long transit times must be expected. To Australia it is at least 20-25 days. If the shipment volumes exceed the capacities available on the direct flights, we reserve the right to transport other products to the destination country this way.

It is still possible to send letters with a weight of up to 500 g and a maximum thickness of 2 cm to Australia. The derivation is usually carried out by air freight. The dispatch of letters weighing over 500 g or a maximum thickness of more than 2 cm will be possible again from October 26, 2020. The discharge usually takes place on the combined air / sea discharge described above.
