This book approaches dementia from a number of angles: biological, psychological, sociological, and theological
Thinking of You is a comprehensive introduction to the subject of dementia. This accessible book is a practical resource for those directly affected by the condition, their immediate family and carers, and those seeking to offer them pastoral care and encourage continuing spiritual growth. Importantly, the author addresses the spiritual care of the affected individual and how to help churches support them and their carers. The final section includes resources for ministry in residential care homes.
The Revd Canon Dr Joanna Collicutt is Advisor for Spiritual Care for Older People (SCOP) in Oxford Diocese, a role which involves the planning and delivery of training courses on the topic of dementia for clergy, ordinands, and lay pastoral care teams. She is a clinical neuropsychologist with many years' experience of working with people living with conditions affecting the brain, including dementia. Her other books include When You Pray (BRF, 2013).
