VTG Beaver? (my best guess), Fur Coat Vintage Women’s Dark Brown No size tag present, fits Medium-Large? Fur is thick and soft and very warm for those freezing cold days.

Based on the tag seem sawn inside one of the pockets FUR LABEL AUTHORITY which was added - regulated by the government to all fur coats in USA starting since 1956, this is a Custom Made in USA coat by for someone that could afford these coats back in the day. I would date this coat as back as the 60's to early 80's it will be my best guess.

Coat is in great vintage condition (Fur is very clean, soft and still shines) considering it's age and with normal care should last for a very long time. As we know from experience and facts these coats were made right here in USA by masterful craftsman people mostly by hand and these people were very good at their craft. That have disappeared since, as you can barely find a master tailor by now compared to craftsmen that you could hand them a few pelts in the morning, and they will give you an amazing coat in the evening. Coats that survive to this day after 40, 50, 60 + years later. Isn't that so amazing. Another interesting fact is that these coats did cost a small fortune back in the day.

Coat is very clean inside and out, seems it was taken care of properly over the years. No offensive odors or any flaws (as seen in the pictures). The lining left side when you have the jacket on: seems like it was repaired (small repair) professionally possibly long time ago (see pictures) that does not affect wearability.
Coat is approximately 5 to 6 pounds and ready for a new owner.
