Godin Montreal Premiere Trans Red 2013 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Godin Montreal Premiere In Trans Red finish. Made in Canada in 2013, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Canadian Cherry body with 'Breath Through' Adirondack Spruce centre block, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including a Licenced Bigsby tremolo tailpiece, TOM style bridge with roller saddles and vintage-style sealed tuning machines. A pair of Godin humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume and master tone controls. 

The Mahogany neck plays well, with a profile that might be described as a rounded 'C' and feels substantial in the hand without being cumbersome. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale, whilst the single cutaway body design enhances access to the upper frets, really opening up the full register of the instrument. The Rosewood fingerboard offers a pleasant and durable playing surface, and with its 10" radius provides a perfect balance between comfortable chording and practicality for lead lines. The semi-hollow body construction provides the guitar with a lively and resonant playing experience, creating a real feeling of connection with the instrument

The semi-hollow construction of this guitar helps it to deliver and open and airy tone, which works a fantastic platform for a range of tones and playing styles. The 'Breathe Through' centre block creates gaps between the back of the guitar and the centre block, allowing the air to resonate more freely for a more natural tone, whilst retaining the feedback limiting qualities associated with conventional semi-hollow guitars. The pair of Godin humbucking pickups sound thick and full, with plenty of roundness in the neck and brightness in the bridge. The controls are nice and responsive, meaning there are a wide range of sounds to be found with such a simple set up.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition, very light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct lighting, as is common with high gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall very good condition. A small area of discolouration is present to the bass side of the fretboard at the 20th fret. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.  

Body: Overall very good condition. Very light scratching to all aspects of the body is visible only under direct lighting, as is common with high gloss finishes. The rear face shows milder scratching to the centre of the lower bout. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Truss Rod Condition: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included. 

Hardware Condition: Fully functional with light signs of wear. 

Structural Condition: No concerns or issues to note. 

Height of the string from the 12th Fret- Treble 1.5mm - Bass 2mm
