The Skyraider was developed as the U.S. Navy's last reciprocating shipboard attack aircraft and continued to fly at the forefront for more than 30 years.
The A-1J was deployed by the U.S. Air Force as the final production model in 1956, and during the Vietnam War, hundreds of them were deployed to rescue pilots who were shot down, as well as for ground attack missions.
The kit faithfully reproduces the tough style characteristic of the Skyraider, as well as the Air Force specification features such as the pilot's seat equipped with a simple escape device and the antennae added to the rear of the fuselage.
Includes a variety of armament parts such as conventional bombs, rocket launchers, and mini-gun pods, as well as a pilot figure. Two types of slide marks are included.
