Up for sale is a rare antique 19th century medical apothecary box made by Whitall Tatum & Co..
This stunning example features a sleek design with brass hook locks on the side and an exquisite ball jointed carrying handled mounted to the topi of the wooden box.
Inside is compartmentalized with lovely original glass apothecary bottles, some with labels and some without.
The kit also has some other odds and ends inside and has acquired a lovely patina form age.
It is marked inside the lid and has a nice velour lining.
measures 10 1/2 inches long by 7 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall.
There is a cut to the lining under the lid and a small crack on the top of the box.
It also has no key.
