I bought this directly from Japan and found the blade flex to be a little more than I'd like. The handle is very blocky as well. Keep in mind this is not a showpiece. The blade is not polished, it is as ground right off the machine. If you want a large, economical knife that is lightweight and can cut through large fruits and vegetables this is it. I'll keep looking for something more rigid, albeit heavier.
