Offered for your consideration is a ruby stained toothpick holder made by George Duncan's Sons and Company (1893-1900) in their number 2005 pattern. Also known as "Zipper Slash", this pattern was introduced in 1894. This toothpick holder is engraved "George Metz 1904". The toothpick holder measures 2 5/8" inches tall and is 1 3/4" in diameter measured at rim.This toothpick holder is in very good used condition with no cracks, chips, roughness, nor repairs, There are a couple of light scratches to the ruby stain which is otherwise deep and rich. Please see photos as they are considered part of the description. Toothpick holder is used and may show other minor signs of use. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time. Thank you for looking.
