I received a nice group of Korean War photos. I gathered after studying them, that the photos belonged to a lieutenant of the 49th Fighter Bombers Wing, 5th Air Force, because he’s in most of the pictures.

Please check out my photos for condition and damage. Photo measures 4-5/8" X 3-5/8"  and image is very hard to find. It has the bomber glass nose and what looks like a ball turret on its' belly. Correction: Apparently the belly dome is a AN/APQ-13 ground scanning radar or Radome. Thank you to the kind eBayer for this new information. ^_^

I received a message from a fellow ebayer about my photos. He wrote: “This photo is from the 8th Bomb Squadron, 3rd Bomb Group during the Korean War, most likely 1950 at Iwakuni AB. This plane has a 3rd generation canopy, the test Invaders were 1st generation. This plane has internal wing guns and under wing rocket mounts, which makes it at least a Block 40 or later, the test planes were Block 5 and had underwing gun pods and could not carry bombs on the wings. None of the four test planes were painted with squadron insignias or tail letters. The trim around the cowling was exclusively used after 1949, which dates this photo to Korea. Additionally "Old Able" of the 13th Bomb Squadron is seen in the background, which further confirms this as Korea.” I want to thank him for taking the time to send me this information. ^_^
