A large Eye of Horus made from a cast of the original found in King Tuts tomb. The eye of Horus represents protection, health and restoration and was worn by ancient Egyptians as a talisman. It was considered a potent amulet against all forms of disease. Filial piety was one of the virtues symbolized by the udjat-eye. It could serve as a substitute for the daily offerings that an eldest som was expected to make at his father’s tomb. This original piece was used to make the mold from which this was produced so it is an exact replica. Made of 24 carat gold electroplate.

This is a wonderful piece from the granddaddy of all blockbuster Museum Exhibits.

The medallion measures 3.25”W X 2”H and is on an 18” chain.
