Wassily Kandinsky is one of the great pioneers of twentieth-century art, opening the door to a whole new abstract universe.

The Homage to Wassily Kandinsky Limited Edition 77 captures his unique visual language in the use of shapes and colours to create a skeletonised Au 750 champagne solid gold cap.

Further details such as the cone shaped like the onion domes of Moscow, the dark colour shading on the barrel (from bordeaux red to intense blue to dark blue) and the simple "K signature" (with wich Kandinsky signed most of his works) engraved on the nib evoke important aspects of the life of one of the world's most visionary artists.

The skilfully skeletonised Au 750 champagne-coloured solid gold cap of this gorgeous limited edition is crafted from the three basic geometric shapes (square, triangle and circle) combining the three basic colours (red, yellow and blue).

The result is terrific

The clip incorporates a dynamic wave shape inspired by the one in his famous work Yellow-Red-Blue from 1925.

The Edition is crowned on the slanting cap top with the Montblanc emblem in mother of pearl under a sapphire glass dome in reference to the shape the artist perceived as the most calm.

The Wassily Kandinsky edition, created in 2016, is limited to only 77 pieces worldwide.

Sold out long time ago from Montblanc and extremely rare on the market, the concerned LE 77 Masters of abstract Art Wassily Kandinsky comes in pristine, unused, sealed condition with a standard Montblanc gift box and service guide. A Montblanc certificate of originality will be supplied with the pen.
